Cinema 3D is the term LG uses for their 3D technology. This does not apply to all LG models. Only the passive 3D line in models that start with LW. Ex: LW6500, LW5600.
2 manufacturers, LG and Vizio, are using passive 3d technology. All others are currently selling active 3D systems.
I think there is no such technology that can provide a 3D movie in a normal TV as if you want the 3D effect you've to use 3D TV.
I'm sure an ad in your local paper will help you to find 3D friends who can share television experiences with you. Regarding 3D technology, look towards Samsung, Sony and Panasonic for the latest 3D technology.
No my friend you cannot have LG 3D TV glasses separately. To get the glasses you have to buy LG 3D TV with new FPR technology. In SG type 3D TV technology the 3D effect comes out from the glasses but in the case of FPR technology the 3D effect comes out from the TV.
At present only LG is using it in their TVs.May be in nearby future other manufacturer will use this technology in their 3D TVs
Basicaly FPR (film pattern retarder) technology is used in these 3D TVs.LG is using successfully FPR technology in their Cinema TVs
Technology in 3D TV has improved much more lately. The upcoming technology is 3D TV without glasses, but it will probably be insanely priced. I think passive 3D TV, as it is called, is the next generation 3D TV, and it may actually be the best 3D TV technology right now. I suggest you gain more information about passive 3D TV if you doubt the quality. You can also take active 3D TV as a comparison.
Well friend, not all 3D tv has flicker problem. only the 3d tv which is using old 3D technology(SG).
Some people suffer headaches after looking at 3d technology for a long time. 3d tech can also effect young children as shown on BBC news last week.
LG calls its 3D technology Cinema 3D so the 3D models all use that title.
Cinema 3D TV is the technology LG uses for their passive TV models. Their name comes from their TVs having similar technology to the 3D used in cinemas hence, "Cinema 3D TV". This technology however is only available on LGs LW series and can be purchased at just about any retailer.
