What can you expect when landing in an airplane?

Your plane will circle the airport until cleared to land. Don't be surprised when the landing gear is engaged; they sometimes make a loud noise and if it is your first time in a plane it can be scary if you don't know what it is. Once you've heard it, you know to expect it and will know what it is next time. Landing is usually very smooth; you can barely tell when the plane touches ground. Other times, you'll feel a little bump.
