There has to be a reason the Betta is sick. The fish will not eat if it is dying. I would assume that there is something wrong with its water or conditions. My advice is do a water change ASAP. Then read and follow the basic rules for keeping any fish. They are as follows. :- 1 inch of fish needs a minimum of 1 gallon of water. (Bettas are 3 gallon fish) Every tank needs a permanently running filter. :- Every tank need to have at least 50% of its water changed every week. If your Betta is kept in a minimum 3 gallon tank and its water kept at 78F, it will be OK. Any less water, or the lack of a filter and the required water changes and I can guarantee it is only a matter of time before your Betta gets very sick and dies.
lets say ur betta has swimbladder disorder. u dont need to worry a bit . do a 100% water change. add stress coat{buy from pet store} and buy peas from any local stores. cook the peas until its soft. then take a toothpick or any thing that can go thrue the pea.take only a quarter of the pea and feed it to betta every day once a day until better
just for little more information if ur betta is floating side ways or upside down it has swim bladder
Betta fish change color by there environment and the types of food that you feed it. If your Betta fish is loosing color that means that your Betta is sick.
Feed him? if he refuses to eat them he's sick, but they can live for seeral days without food.
You should feed your betta 3-4 times a week.
newborns should be feed baby brine shrimp :) and i suppose you feed them when ever you feed a regular betta
the betta will eat as much as you give him pretty much. his stomach is the size of his eyeball. if you overfeed your fish it will get sick and die. feed it once or twice a day. as much as he can consume in 3 mins
Nothing. I feed mine tropical flakes! P.S. i have a betta named Frodo lol
it will be sick but if it continues then your betta will die.
A sick one.
if they aren't active
Yes. Betta Fish do change their coloer every now and then. Or if you have a male, he will change his coloer if hes chaseing a female Betta Fish. Or if he sees another male Betta Fish.
If you don't feed them enough.
Betta fish grow paler and less active when they are sick or old.
