Whew, tough one. Things have changed a bit on Honda cars since 1989. However, many '89 Hondas are still running today.
Each part can be figured out this way:
Take the aftermarket price (NOT OEM, since they are used), less 20 - 40% for being used. Clean them up very well make them look as newish as possible.
That's where you get a starting point, and negotiate the best price with a person that wants it - use ebay or you will never get all of it off your hands.
Do not take it to a salvage yard, they give you $100 - $200 for the whole car, you'll get more than that parting the car out.
I hope this helps. btw - use the pricing from Napa or AutoZone.
They try to make a safe, reliable, good driving experience for the owner.

1 dollar.
well first of all, it depends. 30% less than a Canadian dollar then American
Depends on what model and year Honda you are referring to. Honda & Toyota vehicles have higher resale values than most other models, and for a good reason. They are dependable vehicles. So when shopping for a caryou will pay more for a Honda. It is up to you to decide if Honda is worth the extra cost. IMO, they are.

the best car for your money is either at a Honda dealership or your local action. auctions however are more risky so in my opinion go to your local Honda dealership. good luck.
