The once a month flea preventative topicals are great at keeping fleas and ticks off. There are such products as Frontline, Advantix or Advantage. Just put them on topically once a month and no more fleas or ticks.

If your NOT trying to kill your dog, DO NOT spray poisonous bug spray and/or ant spray or Cockroach spray. Very Dangerous.

1. You can take your pet to the Vet

2. You can also wash your dog with any soap because thats what i did to my dog.. And/or use flea soap.. Also, wash your dog atleast 3 times. Double check to see where the fleas might hide...

3. Give you dog medicine.

4. Clean your house, and Spray your carpet with Flea spray so the fleas won't come back.

Make sure you pay attention to your dog; like: See if he/she scratches all the time or alot. Your dogs and mine.. are not pets!! They are family <3 Thank you for reading I really appreciate it..=)

Can Clorox kill ticks in the backyard?

Bleach won't only kill ticks, it will also kill the dog! NEVER put bleach or any other chemical on a dog! Would you put bleach on your child? Of course not! If it says Keep away from children, keep it away from your pets! Ask your veterinarian for a shampoo that is designed to kill ticks and lice. Also, you should contact an exterminator if lice, ticks, or fleas are present! All three parasites can cause illnesses like Plague!

What kills fleas On dog?

Fleas are really common. Dogs can get fleas from other dogs, cats and grass. Identify where you think they got fleas from and stop this, so they don't keep getting fleas. You have to treat carpets, sofas and the whole house if the infestation is quite bad. Hoovering is the best way to get rid of most fleas and their eggs. Fleas lay eggs in crack and gaps so concentrate on these areas. Medication for getting rid of fleas on the dog will only work if you solve the carpet/sofa issue. You can get drops to put on the back of the dogs neck. These are really effective because it doesn't kill the fleas - it means the eggs the fleas lay won't survive, so you break the life-cycle. Flea shampoos are not effective - normal water and soap will kill fleas. Pills for fleas are also not recommended as they only kill the fleas that are on the dog - not in the carpets. If these methods don't work, get an exterminator in to gas the whole house!
