Any type of box. Whether it be a cardboard box, or even a small plastic container. As a substitute for litter, you could use shredded newspaper. If this is a kitten, take their accidents and place it into the box, that way, they know where to go.
You should already have at least one litterbox for your cats to use and normally, unless you have more than three cats, one litterbox is enough.

It might be a glitch as it would be unnatural for a cat to be on a litterbox for so long.
All you can do is keep trying. Make sure to put all droppings in the litterbox and clean up any urination in the cage(hutch) to encourage use of the litterbox. It may take time and patience. Most rabbits will get the hint, but some just never get it. I wish you luck!
I do not know rabbits; I know cats. This info pertains to cats, and I'm only listing it to give you a start. There are many websites available to help, so search "rabbit litter box" "rabbit rescue" "pet rabbit behavior" for more related suggestions. With cats, there can be many reasons they choose to avoid the litterbox. Is this new behavior, or has the he recently developed problems? First, you should have a veterinarian check to make sure there are no medical problems involved. Cats can avoid litterboxes because of urinary infections and other illnesses. After you rule out illness, you need to consider other issues. Is there a new family member? Is there increased stress in your household? Could he be stressed or trying to get your attention? Are you keeping the litterbox clean enough for him? Cats can be extremely picky. Some cats need at least two litterboxes. Some will only urinate in one box and poo in another. Some will not use a litterbox with even one previous mess in it. Maybe your rabbit needs a cleaner litterbox. Perhaps the litterbox is in the wrong place. Is it somewhere where he might feel threatened or can't escape, like a corner or high-traffic area? Is it someplace that smells like another pet? When he doesn't use the litterbox, is he going in the same spot(s)? Perhaps you need to move the litterbox there and add another litterbox if there's more than one regular spot. Cats are predators and rabbits are prey, so their behavior and needs are very different. Still, hopefully these cat suggestions will get your brain working out of the box so your rabbit might start working in his box.
There could be several reasons why your cats are not using the litterbox. It could be due to stress, a dirty litterbox, a medical issue, or a preference for a different type of litter. It's important to observe your cats' behavior and consult with a veterinarian to determine the underlying cause.

Only in pregnant women, which is why pregnant women shouldn't clean the litterbox. Other than that, it just smells bad. Tip: When cleaning the litterbox, DON'T USE AMMONIA-BASED CLEANERS! This will intensify the smell and make it worse than when you started!
Outdoors??? Litterbox??
litterbox
It is fairly easy. All you do is slowly place your cat's paws in the litterbox. Move her paws so to act like she is digging in the litter. Do this for a while, and she will begin to use it. Warning: Do not force your cat to come near the box! This will cause her to be scared of it, and will avoid the litterbox. Instead, do it nice and slow and gentle. If she struggles, which she will most likely do, gently but firmly hold onto her legs. Not too rough. If she tries to flee, let her go. Try it again a little later.
