I'm gonna say that its a filter for a Deutz diesel engine.
Yes all cars have a fuel filter.
Cars needs a fuel filter to ensure that minute particles of dirt and grime that may enter your fuel system do not follow the fuel line into the engine. The filter protects the engine.
In most vehicles, there is no filter in the fuel pump. in some cars the fuel filter is mounted in the tank near the pump.
on most cars its in the fuel line
there is no fuel filter, after 2000 majority of cars do not use fuel filter mainly import cars, the only "fuel fillter" now is in the gas tank connected to the pump, but those are lifetime filters, (more of a strainer than a filter) if your wanting to keep you fuel system clean, just use a fuel injector cleaner or fuel system cleaner
Simple answer YES ALL CARS HAVE FUEL FILTERS!!
you do not service the fuel systems on these cars usually it says n/s in the filter book
Search "1994 Accord Fuel Filter". The cars are the same, and there are two detailed explanations about how to do it there.
It depends if your car has the four barrel carburetor or is electronically fuel injected. carbureted cars have the fuel filter located behind the carburetor inlet nut. Just follow the metal fuel line from the pump to the carburetor. If your car is fuel injected cars the filter is located in a bracket on the lower left portion of the engine.
newer cars could be air filter or fuel filter. older cars could also have improper timing on the plugs.
If any of it gets through the pick-up filter (aka the sock) then gets through the fuel pump (assuming the vehicle is fuel injected) it will get caught in the fuel filter before it reaches the fuel injectors. If enough of it gets into the fuel filter it will clog up the filter and restrict the fuel flow.
Every 30,000 miles. Better answer: It really depends on the car. Many newer cars' fuel filter is in the fuel tank, and changing it is a $100--$200 expense (and the fuel tank may have to be drained). In newer cars, the recommendation is 30,000 miles, 60,000 miles, or more. Some cars do not include changing the filter as a matter of routine maintenance. Check the maintenance schedule for your specific car to get the best answer.
