A Black cat crossing your path. (it's not true, I have one.)
if it is a black cat
Black
A black cat would be more unlucky than a white cat. An example of this would be the belief that a black cat crossing your path leads to bad luck. There is no bad luck that a white cat would give you.
No, however something like a cat who happens to be black IS considered unlucky by some people.
I'm gonna go with unlucky if the cat only has hairs on its chest! LOL The real answer is: All cats are lucky!

yes... algeria has many superstitions, just like anyother society. for instance, a black cat is unlucky. breaking a mirror is unlucky. spilting water after the departure of someone assures his return...etc
There is no such thing as an unlucky day. Although, there are unlucky things such as the devil.
unlucky
unlucky
Not lucky; not successful; unfortunate; ill-fated; unhappy; as, an unlucky man; an unlucky adventure; an unlucky throw of dice; an unlucky game., Bringing bad luck; ill-omened; inauspicious., Mischievous; as, an unlucky wag.
the Christians believed that a witch blessed her cat with 9 lives (also 9 is supposedly unlucky) so the cat was put in a dungeon but the cat got out so they tried to kill it but it escaped being flexible and managed again 9 times and on it's last "life" it had kittens and after it was tied to the "witch" and drowned but the kittens survived and bred and so on so all cats have nine lives because they come from the magic cat. it's all to do with nine being unlucky and cats being associated with mistresses of the devil
