It's not that it's hot or cold. It's time-based. The gas cap is not venting. Once the engine pulls enough fuel from the tank, the tank builds a vacuum equal to the pull of the engine, therefore no more fuel can reach the engine. Try replacing your gas cap.
most likey cause of dieing when hot and starting when cooled down is the coil. when the coil gets hot it stops working causing the engine to die. once it cools off it allows it to work again
