I got a 1985 Nissan Truck 4 cyl Z24 engine 4X4.
Had the same problem plus my truck keeps stalling when I came to a stop sign and traffic light.
My stalling problem was fixed when the intake gasket was replaced, but my truck still hesitate in lower gear and ran ok when I got it up past 40 MPH.
Someone told me to replace the fuel filter and I did. Only to find out the previous owner installed the fuel filter backwards.
Never the less, I changed the less than $10 fuel filter and my truck has being running great ever since.
it could be your air filter, you might not be pulling enough air into the engine. it usually costs less than 10 to fix
dirty fuel filter
unburnt fuel
Replace the excelerator pump in the carb, and make sure of the proper engine timming!
Replace the fuel filter.
Auroras use only premioum gass
Slow engine RPM is the main reason a car may be sluggish while accelerating. However, it also could be due to the oil.
will the transmission causes my 1999 ford expedition to bog down & sputter when accelerating the 4.6liter engine.
Most likely needs a tuneup done. Check the timing and change the normal tuneup part.
If a 1997 Nissan Altima cuts off at a stop light, there is a problem with the fuel getting to the engine. When you are accelerating, there is pressure and a higher flow of fuel, which is why it won't cut off then. The problem could be a leak in the fuel line, the fuel pump itself, or a fuel filter. It will need to be serviced.
Burst diaphram in the fuel lift pump. [ontop of diesel filter]
you have a control vacuum leak, listen for hissing noise under dash when engine is running.
