try repacimg the fan clutch i have an 86 it was over heating and i replaced it cause it was all nasty lookin and i have not had it overheat once in the last 4 years and let me tell you i drive it hard even when over a 100 outside also might be the thermestat if you have heat its not the thermistat but no heat it most likiley the thermistat
