Gulliver decides to leave Lilliput and return to London after being accused of treason and sentenced to be blinded by the Lilliputians. This injustice, along with feeling unappreciated by the Lilliputians, prompts Gulliver to plot his escape and leave the island.
Gulliver's fear of insects
Gulliver's statement that he could build a machine to destroy the entire fleet of the Blefuscudians causes the Emperor to turn against him in "Gulliver's Travels" by Jonathan Swift. The Emperor views this as a threat to his empire's security and decides to treat Gulliver as an enemy from that point on.
The queen of Brobdingnag makes fun of Gulliver's behaviors when she notices his obsession with pointing out the flaws of his own country. She finds it amusing that Gulliver is quick to criticize his homeland while seemingly oblivious to his own shortcomings.
In "Gulliver's Travels," Gulliver's description of European weaponry and the way they are used in battle causes the Emperor to turn against him. Gulliver's detailed accounts of war machines and methods of using them go against the Emperor's peaceful beliefs.
