Several things could be going on here. First, if you are not getting spark I would guess the ignition module. If this does not fix the problem; then i would try replacing the crank position sensor. If this doesn't work then try replacing the cam position sensor since they communicate between each other. If this still doesn't work it is likely the PCM which is the computer. This will have to be taken to the dealer with the VIN number so they can flash it.

The lifters on a 1998 Breeze are not adjustable.
The 98 Plymouth breeze has a spring loaded belt tensioner. There is no adjustment, if the belt is loose then the tensioner must be changed.
The headgasket has failed.
Chrysler/Plymouth vehicles do not use inertia/reset switches.

check plugs and wires. my 98 was leaking oil from the valve cover into one spark plug access hole, causing bad connection
