anterior pituatary called adenohypophysis, secreates the following harmones;

growth harmone,

TSH,

FSH,

LH,

prolactin,

ACTH.

among them growth harmone is very dominant.

GROWTH HARMONE;acts on bones,cartilage,organs,gland etc through somatomedins.

ACTION ON BONES;bone has two cartilages.epiphysis,diaphysis.ends of bone are called epiphysis. this growth harmone acts on epiphysis and this causes linear length of bone.linear length is produced before calcification of bone by action of growth harmone.

if action of growth harmone takes place after calcification it causes transverse growth instead of linear growth.growth of bone occurs transversly.

DISORDERS;hyper secreation;causes 2 cases.

gigantism;in this excess production of harmone and resulting in action on epiphysis of bone before calcification.this causes abnormal increase in linear growth of bones in hands and legs.

acromegaly;in this condition the excess production of harmone acts on epiphysis after calcification.this causes extremities to grow.as a result the protruded lower jaw,enlarged ear pinna and prolonged nose will be observed.
you could try growth hormones but good luck getting some of that stuff. If you are looking for a disease, there is one called acromegaly that makes the pituitary gland produce excessive amounts of growth hormone and that causes bones to grow abnormally large in adults. When it occurs in children it is called giganticism.
