Low revs between the range of 2500 to 3500rpm cause the lag you notice before the turbo has kicked in because you need around 3500+ rpm for enough air to be dispelled by the exhaust in order for the turbo to operate optimally. it is more noticeable on older cars due to the inefficiency of carburretters and older type fuel injectors thus compunding the effect of a turbo, who'se job it is to force air into the very same (inefficient) carb that is slowing it down in the first place..
best supra motor is the 2JZ-GTE was factory in 1993-1998 Toyota supra twin turbo, was also the fastest and lighter than its predecessors...
not without MAJOR modification
The 1993-1998 Toyota Supra (the non-turbo version) has the same brake pads as a SC300. The 2.5TT Soarer may not.
You are only slightly right, in the states there was the 7MGTE (single turbo) from 86.5-92..... then the 2jz came about in the mk4 which had the TT option later on. but to answer the ? about the twin turbo supra in 1992 they made a TT model in japan the engine code is 1JZGTE it is a 2.5ltre twin turbo 87-92 which in my opinion is and awesome motor , they also had the 7mgte in earlier models of the mk3 the 1992 supra came with a single turbo and not a twin turbo. the twin turbo came to-be a year later in the 1993 MKIV generation supra.
The fuel pump is in tank like all other supra's and many mojor car manufacturers..
The wheel bolt pattern for the 1993 Toyota Supra is 5 x 4.5 inches or 5 x 114.3 millimeters. The stud size is 12 x 1.5 and the offset is high positive.
The 2jzge engine came in the following models: 1993 - 1998 Lexus GS 300, and SC300, and the Toyota supra non- turbo. Speed ranges for all these cars start around 144mph - 150 mph.
It will need a lot of modification but totally possible. I have a supra engine in my 1993 toyota corolla. so far i smoked a corvette, mustang, maseratti, lotus, but unfortunetly lost agianst a NISSAN GTR.
1986.5-1992 (1987-1993 in Japan) Toyota Supra MkIII (MA70)1989-1992 Toyota Cressida Mark II (MX83)Toyota ChaserToyota Crown
umm theres not an 01 supra they was not produced after the late 90s Actually the MKIV Supra was Produced from 1993-2002, they only stopped US production in 98, but continued Japan production till 2002. Since Japanese restrictions are different than US, who knows, but stock is said to be 155MPH. Boost logic did 246.2 in a mile, if they had 3 miles to go....who knows! Good question.
i just replace the motor mounts with supra mounts
The cars that have a 7MGTE engine are a 1986.5-1992 Toyota Supra MKlll. This car came out in Japan between 1987-1993. The Toyota Cressida Mark ll, the Toyota Chaser and the Toyota Crown also have this engine type.
