I would first start with the cheap stuff first and then go up. I would start with the Thermostat. If the problem is still there after u changed it I would then look to the Radiator to see what kind of condition that it is in. (LOOK FOR RUST OR ANTIFREEZE JUST NOT FLOWING) Then I would check the water pump. With a car like the 85 Chevy it really cant be much wrong with it especially if it is running smooth.
If you have the control panel set to the heat setting, it is only designed to blow out on the floor. If you desire hot air out of the middle, you must set the control panel to vent.
Take it somewhere and have it done. This is a difficult and nasty job which is nearly impossible for the average person to do. The heat just about welds them on. VBD
here are a few causes why you do not get any heat. water pump faulty, restriction in cooling system, sticking thermostat
It's probably seizing a little instead of disengaging properly. This causes the pads to stay in contact, and heat up from friction. You'll probably have to pull the pistons and hone the cylinders.
Friction causes heat. Heat is a source of energy.
how do you fix the heat in a 2002 Chevy impala
the therostat runs it self its in the motor maybe you mean the heat and it should not effect the ignition/spark in any way the worst it should do is the blower motor starts to smoke or it pops fuses take it in if you cant trace the prob or know how cause you ain't gonna learn on a message board.
heater core....
Heater Core and New Thermostat. Through time build up of residue in the heater core does not allow heat to get pumped through. Simple Fix by your self. Run you around 80 for both
Were is the temperature heat sensoe on a 454 chevy motor.
The type of heat that causes a burn is gas!
Friction causes heat. Fraction causes heat only with people who are not comfortable with maths.
