I'm not at all sure this is right, but could it be the fuel filter? I have to agree with the person above. Fuel pumps usually go out for three reasons. 1) age 2) Block in the system or 3) running your car on to low of fuel and causing overheating. The fuel pump going out could have possibly been triggered by the fuel pump being clogged. If the fuel is restricted it overheats the fuel pump, which is located in the gas tank and cooled by the gas within. If you change your pump it is always good measure to switch out the filter too. I would also have to say check the fuel filter- If the fuel is not reaching the injectors, your fuel filter is probably clogged or simply needs replacing. Check that first it is usually the cheapest answer. If you do not hear a noise when turning the key as if something clicked on, then your fuel pump is probably not working. Recheck the wires to make sure the connection is being made. When changing a fuel pump, always change the fuel filter. Also, check your O2 sensors.

Why is your 1982 Ford Bronco hard to start?

Why is there no fuel reaching the injectors?

Usually the fuel pump screen is blocked with debris in tank, or is not operating at all or at the proper pressure. Be careful checking fuel line pressure, suggest that a trained mechanic with fire extinguisher handy do the test, due to the real fire hazard. Next might be fuel pressure regulator or surge control in fuel rails. Could also be burned out circuit in ECU.

2002 Chevy mailbu starts then cuts off no gas reaching the main gas line in the car why?

What could cause intermittent starting problems in a Chevy Cavalier Z24?

Either "FIRE" or "FUEL". Things to check with fuel...the pressure and the injectors.Low fuel pressure or clogged or leaking fuel injectors, fuel pressure regulator and possibly the fuel filter. When it comes to "Fire" it could be many things.Check the ignition control module, coolant temp sensor, the MAP sensor, crankshaft sensor, camshaft sensor,IAT sensor.Even incorrect gap at the spark plugs could cause starting problems. But, I would suspect the fuel not reaching the combustion chamber correctly.(Fuel Pressure or injectors not spraying right) If that checks out, it would be the ignition control module(which should be checked first).

Can high blood pressure result in less oxygen reaching heart muscle?

Why engine shaking in Chevy Trailblazer on idle?

The engine of a Chevy Trailblazer may begin shaking when idle if there is insufficient fuel reaching it. This can be caused by a clogged fuel filter or dirty fuel injectors.

What would cause a 1990 Chevy lumina not to start after reaching operating temperature?

could be a number of things from fuel pressure to a bad ecm or ignition module and coils (should be replaced together) we have a 1990 Oldsmobile with the 3.1 in our shop now and it turned out to be a fuel injector it would run great then when it warmed up started mis firing then would not start until cool we replaced the injectors and same thing happened we got 2 bad injectors tested them with an ohm meter 4 of them were around 12.2 and two were only .4 and .5 we did not test them when we got the new ones figuring they were good they were not ( my fault) ! now after a second time with the injectors it runs good again those injectors are known for being bad. Hope that helps

Does water pressure increases depth increases?

Yes, it does. The more you advance towards the bottom of the ocean, the more the water pressure increases. Which is why you implode before reaching the bottom.

What can cause misfire on a caprice?

The distributor could be failling, there might not be enough fuel or air reaching the engine (too much is bad too), or your spark plugs/wires are damaged or not to spec.
