I had this problem with my car (the day after I bought it). There is a special fuse that they need to install in the fuse box that won't blow. The dealer should do it for you for free if you take it to them. In the meantime, you can change the fuse with the same amperage one that is there and they should work for a short time until they blow again. It gets to be a pain.
If you change the fuse for a higher amperage fuse, the motor in the door lock will blow on one side.

if the compressor is running and it is still blowing hot air i would have to say that the blend door is not operating properly. if the blend door is stuck open then the air is still blowing across the heater core and into the cabin. replacing the motor that controls the blend door will most likely fix this problem

I had the same problem on my girlfriends car and it was a easy fix, the dome light switch on the door was not being pushed in all the way when the door was closed, so i put a screw in the door jamb where the button hit it and it fixed the problem, this will help push the button in more, and you should have no more problem with the dome light coming on.
