low idle and uneven idle
Your car will idle high until the engine begins to warm. You could set the idle to be a bit lower, but that may cause the engine to stall out when it's cold out. The engine should begin to lower the RPMs when it is warmed up.
If you have just started it up it hasn't yet warmed up it will idle fast until the computer will read that it is warmed up to operating temperature. If the vehicle is already warm, it is likely that the idle control is out of adjustment OR that the accelerator pedal or the accelerator cable is sticking.
engine will idle high at start up same as a gas engine will. contrary to what most say, the newer diesels have same application on them as a choke. once engine has warmed up it will idle normally
This is because the engine has not yet fully warmed up. The computer increases the idle speed to prevent stalling when the engine is cold. To correct this, wait for the engine to warm up, or shut it off.
It means your engine just warmed up .............
It is normal for the oil pressure to drop when the engine is warmed up and at an idle.
