Most likely need to clean carbs and check fuel bulb sounds like it is starving for fuel at higher rpm's also check spark plugs and clean them
if it's idling rough, I would suggest cleaning the throttle body with carburetor cleaner.
It could be your TPS, throttle positioning sensor. At least, that was the case with my 89 prelude.
Misfire is usually caused by faulty wires or spark plugs or both. Throttle position sensor failure generally causes poor response to the throttle. That is poor acceleration, slow to return to idle and rough idle.
I just had this problem on my 2004 Colorado. The Idle Actuator control motor on the throttle body was bad. Cost $160 for the part.
I would suspect the idle speed motor is faulty. Does the motor sometimes idle fine and then other times rough? They are about $100.00 last time I had priced one. Your dealer can price one and print out a picture of it and where it is located so you can recognize it.....1930fcoupe
it may be the mapsensor makin it run rough like that.. or either u need to adjust the throttle
It may just be that the throttle plate is dirty,
Check the motor mounts. If rough when going from Park to reverse or even when in drive it's possible broken mount is the reason. Had same issue and replaced mounts and no more problems
it's usually caused by carbon on the inside of the throttle body just remove air inlet and spray with carb clean
What causes a car to idle good and run rough when you give it gas?
rough idlingTry cleaning the throttle body with throttle cleaner and tooth brush. Remove the cover first. Soot builds up in this area causing the flap to stick resulting in rough idle. I have cleaned mine to new condition and I still have a rough idle. The dealer told me these motors never idled very smooth in gear.
Rough idling is whenever the vehicle's motor "misses" or does not fire causing an imbalance and a loss of rotation reducing the motor's power and causing excessive shaking.
