This is likely a corneal scar, possibly the result of an ulcer or an infection. However, if the white spot is actually behind the cornea, it is probably the start of a cataract in the lens.

Regardless, unless the spot continues to get larger or you see signs of inflammation (redness, tearing, etc), you can probably ignore it.
