smelled electrical burn now central air is blowing warm air non stop
There is an engineering issue with the actuator for the rear air that causes a piece of plastic to burn up. There is no fix for this as of yet and GM is not offering temp repairs for free! There is not a separate compressor, but there is a separate condensor.
there is a leak in the compressor...
of course.
low on refrigerant or the compressor isn't running..
This is an oiless compressor; it requires no oil at all.
the capacitor starts the compressor generally if it don t work the compressor usually won t start
It sounds as if the compressor is not starting.
The compressor will stay running only because there is a leak in the air system somewhere and the compressor is trying to play catch up.It will burn out if left to run continuously ...
No oil in compressor - wether it works or not, it still needs that special ac oil -
your condensor is clogged up, or your condensor fanmotor is not working, or your compressor struckup due mechanical problem inside of your compressor.
Compressor not operating.
