Talking gas flooding. High float level. Leaking needle and seat. Like a flooding toilet, it never shuts off. Too much fuel pressure. Should be 5-7 lbs. Too much engine heat. Boils gas out. Hole in float. Leaky well plugs...usually Quadrajet. Gas line too close to manifold creating too much pressure. Defective or wrong parts. Beware flooding carbs can create Hydro lock where gas fills the cylinder and on the compression cycle cannot compress. Beware oil must be changed or gas thins out oil too much. another way gas can flood an engine is if the fuel pump diaphragm has a hole in it. It then goes in the crankcase and dilutes the oil leading to a seized engine.
