Vacuum leek
2004 Chevy express van, heater has no high speed, at one time the blower stayed on even when the ignoton was turned off therefor draining the battery,
Because the water heater is turned up too high.
The motor which blows air through the vents.
you need a new blower motor resistor
If it was white, it may have been exposed to high heat, such as a electric heater or direct sunlight for a long period of time.
AnswerIf it's a rapid clicking sound that becomes more rapid when the fan is turned up high, you probably have a foreign object like a leaf stuck in the blower. It sounds like your Air door actuator or temperature actuator
blower motor resistor is burned out
This question was for a 1998 Mazda 626. The solution to this problem of the temp heating up is to start the heater in the car on high. Then it immediately goes to the neutral temp for the car, and stays in stable there.
Could be the TPS, it will cause it to idle high and low and make the car become sluggish, but a vehicle will run without one, but it will run very rough.
Air causes the whistling noise. I'm currently on a quest to eliminate the problem in my house (just had new water heater installed about a month ago, sounds like a choir of banshees when the water's running, toilets are flushed, washing machine or dishwasher are running,, etc.) When I figure out how to get the air out, I'll post a follow-up. In the meantime, at least you know what it is!
Sounds like the heater control valve. It could be the blend door actuator motor, which is located on top of the heater housing. this is what controls the fresh air flow through the heater.
