maybe it is a problem with you 1st gear being warped because when ur stopped u are in 1st gear but park is a different gear
U-joint is the first place to look. Second would be worn ring and pinion gear.
horses make neighing sounds
It being in neutral or park.
A vacuum leak (Brake booster).
What kind of noise? It could just be the park lock solenoid clicking when it releases to engage drive, this wouldn't come from the gearbox though, it would be from the gear selector unit under the centre console.
If your talking about when your in park that click is releasing the transmission so you can shift into gear
The engine also jumps when changing to Neutral and Drive. Should I have transmission fluid change? A/C was not on.
Your probably letting your transmission roll forward or backwards after you put it into park. This puts pressure on the transmission where it stops and it "pops" out of park for this reason, making the loud noise. Apply the E-Brake after putting it into park but before you let off the regular break, it wontcontinue to roll.
Sounds like it could be a bad wheel bearing
transmission shift bolt loose try pushing gear shifter all the way back to park
This is the locking mechanism that prevents you from shifting from park without depressing the brake pedal or pressing the release button to the right of the gear shifter.
