This happened to me a few years ago and it's best you get it taken care of quickly since it is a serious problem. Basically you will be having to replace the plastic "Christmas tree" that is on the inside of your sand filter. Most likely one of the "legs" or "branches" are broken and the usually tiny holes that only allow water through are now all busted up and letting the sand go through. Chlorine will cause this "tree" to get brittle and the combined weight of the sand and water will eventually crush these things. Your local pool store can help you get a new one. Hope this helps.

You just put the crawler hose into the pool vacuum outlet and off it goes. It's just a mechanical vacuum that saves you doing the job.

Most main drains for vinyl liner pools have a threaded port inside of the drain itself. This threaded port is used to plumb in the main drain. The easiest way to fix this is to swim down to the main drain, remove the grate, which is held on with two screws, COME UP FOR AIR, then screw in a threaded 11/2 plug into the port. This will stop water from leaking if the leak is in the line itself and not in the drain.
A mixture of PVC (poly vinyl chloride)and several select types of plastisizers, to make the resulting "bug" product, rubbery in texture. Plastisizers are currently being changed from eco-fiendly to eco-friendly for the greenies among us.
