It can be caused by excess oil in you exhaust and also if you have diesel engine it is notorious for smoke.
If it is only when you first start the car, the valve seals are leaking. When you shut the car off, oil that is on the valve runs down the stem of the valve and into the cylinder. When you start it next time one or more cylinders have oil in them and it burns the first time that cylinder fires. There isn't enough leakage for it to smoke all the time while driving.
You probably have a little oil seeping into the combustion chamber while the engine is off. Once you start the engine, this oil is burned and causes the smoke you see.
White smoke at start up is due to moisture in the exhaust or on a diesel it can be normal due to the engine being cold.White smoke at start up is due to moisture in the exhaust or on a diesel it can be normal due to the engine being cold.
there may be leakage in your coolant water cap at the time of starting vibration causes water to escape from it entering in to the engine causes white smoke
valve seals. Can be replaced with engine in truck & heads do not have to be removed.
WHITE SMOKE is engine coolant / antifreeze burning. That is due to a head gasket leaking on the 5.7L 350 engine.
The main cause of motorbike smoke is when the diesel is being burned and used in the engine. This smoke causes pollution to the environment.
Blue smoke is burning oil.
Black smoke from an engine is caused by unburnt fuel.
blue smoke is oil. white smoke is water. black smoke is unburnt fuel
Usually that's oil left in the combustion chamber. That is, if it's happening only when you start the engine
pressure test the coolant system you will find a blown intake or head gasket
Cold start
