this happened to me and I discovered online that the cruise control fuse is the same as the horn and the emergency flashers....so if those don't work either, it's the fuse! You should also check the cruise control cable. I had the problem of it slipping off when ever I stomped on the gas pedal. Also check to see if the cable is broken. I've also had that happen.
Check the fuse first.
Any recommendations about answering this question? Anyone with the diagram?
Cruise will NOT work if the speedometer has a problem
There is a switch that turns on the cruise control there could be a problem with that. There could also be a problem with the transmission linkage also. Causes include check engine light, vacuum hose, clock spring, brake light switch,
It could be that you A/C is running low on fluid.
The air blower and the cruise control are completely powered by separate fuses. It is possible that both have blown fuses.
Codes in the PCM, broken vacuum line, failed switch, wiring between switch and PCM
Blown fuseA short in the cruise control circuit,Faulty brake or clutch switch,Leaking vacuum circuit,Faulty cruise switch, faulty stepper motor, faulty transducer, faulty speed sensor, faulty cruise control module. That help a little?
Did you happen to take your vehicle a few years ago to a Ford dealership for a recall? Did they replace a jumper wire to the cruise control?
bad clock spring... most likely your cruise control doesn't work too... also often airbag light stays on too...
have you checked to make shure that hte cruise control isn't on if your vehicle has one?
I figured my own question out....all it was, was the fuse.
It is the control box under the dash
SRS light references only the Airbag system of you car. Something has failed the self test which causes the light to activate. This can be a very bad situation as most likely the airbags will not deploy in an accident or the may deploy in normal driving due to a short. Take the car to a certified mechanic to have it looked at and repaired. SRS will have nothing to do with your horn or your cruise control.
My cruise control signal comes on the dash when I turn it on but when I set the speed button nothing happens. Why? The increase speed with the switch on the steering wheel does not work either. You need to hagve the system checked for trouble codes to know what the possible causes could be.
a vacuum leak is possible Vacuum leak is most likely it. There is a vacuum line that runs under your batter tray. Most of the time it breaks and causes your cruise control to stop working and when you accelerate your heater will pop on and off. You can buy a new one from the dealer for like $3 bucks. Replacing this takes about 20minutes. Its crazy how one simple thing can mess up a whole lot of stuff. Good Luck.
Evaporative Emission Control System MalfunctionCausesThe gas cap is not installed or working properlyThe purge solenoid has failedThe canister is plugged and not working properly
There are way too many causes to make a guess, from a bad fuse to a broken servo. Take it to your Chevy garage.
sounds like a cruise control relay sounds weird but i have a 04 and it happened to me and that is what the dealer replaced
There are some causes of cancer that you have no control over, such as genetics. There are causes which you can control such as smoking, drinking, and diet.
If you are talking about dual heating (front/rear), then either the rear temp control is set to cold, or the control is not working.
going down hill, cruise control, a strong wind, getting rear ended by someone whos going twice as fast.
