check to see if your dome light is working. if not check the dome light fuse, located in the engine room fuse box. dome fuse powers the trunk release circ.
the seat belt sometimes makes the light stay on
A likely cause is a faulty interior light dimming switch. This switch is directly connected to both the dash lights (for dimming), and the dome light (on/off).
The dome light switch on the dash is on.
The "dome" is the light on the ceiling of your car. It is called a dome because this light is usually shaped like a dome.
It's probably the switch. Take out the dome light assembly and use your circuit tester to test it. Replace or repair. I've had this happen twice so far. I think if you leave your dome light it causes problems because it gets really hot!
If it stays on all the time it will drain the battery
it should be the same as the interior light fuse. all of these are together i think.
