you have 2 problems.
1- the toilet should be sealed to the floor with a type of "dap".
2- Your drain is not draining properly for your shower and causing a backup. You need a drain cleaning.
Forget the "dap"
Just sealing around the bowl is not enough as waste will collect under the bowl and you will have mold build up and other bacteria, You need to
1- Clear the partial stoppage
2- replace the wax seal (gasket)
Stoppage down stream
If it is full, you can't put more in it, full is full. Flush the toilet, it is going to come up in the shower. == == == == == ==

it is run off of a different line from the main water supply. you may be able to trace it from the hot water tank and see where it branches off.
There is no enamel, they are made of porcelain.
There's a leak in the pipe.
