gettin to much gas to the carb
1986
There have been millions of cars and trucks produced with a carbureted 350. every Chevy that offered a 350, before fuel injection any Chevy model that offered a 350 cid. engine before fuel injection.
It's lean.
lack of lubrication
just about the only thing you have to do is get a intake that is drilled for vortec heads or put a set of pre 87 heads on it. I just did one in a truck and the two center intake bolts on the throttle body motor go in straight and they go in on a angle on the older motor.
If the 350 engine is a carbureted engine and not FUEL INJECTED, Then remove the 327 and install the 350 and hook everything back up and your done. They are the same blocks other then the stroke.
It depends on numerous factors, such as the cars, car's weight, configuration of engines (Boss 302, 350 LT1, etc), whether they're carbureted or fuel-injected, etc...
a vacuum leak.
No it is not, NOT EVEN CLOSE, JUST LOOK AT THEM.
You would need to carry over the entire harness including computer from the TBI engine.
the block & heads are the same you just have to pull the 305 out & put the 350 back in
Carbureted, so what? What year is it? Does it have points or HEI? Several things come into play here, as well as a worn out lifters/camshaft.
