Well I'm sure it definitely depends on hw old your child is. If he/she is oldder or 12 I don't believe s they should skip anything. It is not horrible. The only thing is you know they will have sex but they don't go through that they just say after that he broke the headboard. It up to the parent but I know kids as young as 9-10 who've read them. You could skip the honeymoon which is Esme island and the part after that until it swit he's to Jake.
