There are many resources to find the definition of the word fundamental. The best place to start would be the dictionary. The dictionary would give you a full description of fundamental.

It depends on the word in question but for the most part a dictionary will give the word, what type of word it is, its pronunciation, its definition(s), and etymology if it is known. Some may also use it in a sentence or phrase as an example.
You can find a sentence for evacuate if you either look the word up in the dictionary, or use an online dictionary to get the definition of the word. A lot of dictionaries will give the word in a sentence. If they don't, read the definition and you should be able to formulate your own.
You can use a type of dictionary like Webster's dictionary. One thing that I do is go to google.com and type in something like "define house" or whatever you want defined, without the quotation marks, and it will give you a definition for almost anything that way.
You have to look at the way it is used in the sentence and that will normally give you the definition of the word.
