Best Answer

Fromage frais (also known as fromage blanc, maquée and similar to some kinds of quark).

It is often served with honey in restaurants, as fromage blanc au miel.

Sweet as in sugary, or sweet as in mild? If you mean sugary, then there's Munchee cheese, and just about anything mixed with fruit (La Raule with Cranberries comes to mind, but its expensive).

If you mean mild, then almost all cheeses have a mild version to them. Brie is mild, there's mild cheddar, mozzarella, mild provolone, asiago fresco, queso blanco, some types of swiss (they don't mention if they are sharp/pungent or mild, so you'll have to sample them).

There are hundreds of varieties of cheese and each region is proud of its own product(s) France produces many cheeses as do Germany, Italy and Holland. There are quite a few American and Canadian cheeses too, although the big corporations like Kraft have done their best to completely ruin North American cheese by producing mild, nearly tasteless versions of previously great cheeses like cheddar.

I like fermented cheeses like gorgonzola and limburger, Danish Blue is one of the bland factory offerings but French Blue is superb.
