Bishop Martino, is a ultra-conservative Bishop, who saw himself as the Shepard and the people as the sheep. Althought, this is the usual biblical arrangement, the problem is, we sheep, in American, don't follow the old conservative rules, we question everything and when we ask a question, we will not tolerate being blown off.
I believe that the Bishop in principal was correct, However, his lack of people skills and his obvious disregard of looking for the support of the faithful. lead to his resignation. I am sure that he is a good and holy man, but he did not have the due diligents needed to work with the people
