Taking citric acid and sodium citrate can have side effects. Serious effects include cramps or muscle twitching, swelling or weight gain, mood changes, weakness, rapid and shallow breathing, a fast heart rate, black or bloody stools, severe diarrhoea, a restless feeling, or convulsions.
Citric acid is not produced by the human body. However Citric acid is one of a series of compounds involved in the physiological oxidation of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates to carbon dioxide and wate, and this process occurs in the human body.
I'm not a doctor, and i don't have any certificates or whatever, but your body doesn't produce citric acid, and its citric acid content comes solely from the rutaceae fruits which you consume (oranges, grapes, berries, tangerines, mandarin's, grapefruit, limes, lemons, lemonade's, kiwi fruits etc). you would just be eating too much citrus fruits.
It will stain your teeth. It is also hard to digest.
No. The clue is in the name. Citric acid is a weak triprotic carboxylic acid, i.e. it has three protons available for dissociation. Because it is an acid, in the same way as vinegar it is readily neutralised by alkaline substances such as sodium bicarbonate.
Citric acid is commonly found in acidic foods, such as juices, as it is in lemons and oranges (and other citrus fruits). Also, allthough it is not as common, citric acid is a weak acid (not 100% dissociated) and therefore is can be used in household cleaninng products as it will not harm the human body or many surfaces.

it burns your adnoids
Citric acid in your cells are essential for your body to help provide energy. Citric acid is also a common additive to foods which will be consumed into the bloodstream and then excreted from the body.
Yes. Citrus fruits contain citric acid. The notion of them having an alkaline effect on the body is nonsense.
well its not good for you

YES
No, lemons contain an acid, I think in was Citric Acid. Anyway, it contains a little bit of alkaline

From what I can gather Hippuric acid is the result of a benzoic acid joining with the amino acid glycene, so I am assuming it is metabolised in the body, I doubt it has any effect unless a large amount is present in the body and at this point I suspect it would raise the pH of the blood, but your body can easily combat this
It becomes a neutral substance when it comes into contacts with the acid already in our stomachs.
The effects of too much citric acid in the body includes a stomach upset, weakened hair, yellow skin or yellow eyes. Other unpleasant effects are low blood pressure, bloody stools and feeling faint.
