I can say that Apollo is conected with Delphi because when his mother Leto(Letho) was pregnant Hera sent python (the guargian of the belly button of the earth located at this site) to kill her because she was angry about Zeus impregnanting her and when Apollo and his sister, Artemis were born Apollo went after python and killed him and made Delphi scared to himself.
