Australian shepards are dogs that were bred as sheep/horse/etc. herders. they are normally multicolored, some could be white and black only, or brown and tan only, or all of those shades. Most Australian shepards had their tails cut off as pups so the horses and other animals would not step on the tail and create an injury for the dog, or interferre with herding
Australian shpherd are not very smart as compared to a German shepherd. a German shepherd is 10 times smarter so if a German shepherd was trained to play soccer and an Aussie was trained to play soccer, the German shpherd would be way better. Australian shepherds are just below Chihuahuas on the charts for smartest dogs. aussies are worth around $50 to $100 it is impossible for them to cost more then that, but most are given for free. the ones given for free are probably given for free because they either have a health problem or their parents have a have health problem. they are not really dogs people just get them because they are free.
they shed a lot. but if you keep up on brushing them they wont shed so much.
They herd sheep and assist the Shepherd.
