Fluke infections are contracted by eating uncooked fish, plants, or animals from fluke-infected waters.
Rabies is transmitted primarily by animals, and infected animals usually do not show symptoms until long after their first exposure. These factors make it very hard to track.
what not to do with infected animals
start by defining infected...infected with what?
A heart worm parasite is spread by infected mosquitos. The mosquitos are infected in warm months by the eggs of the worm, and the mosquitos bite the dogs/cats/animals to infect them with the heartworm.
Reptiles are animals, and animals can get infected too. If the reptile ate a rabid mouse or something, then yes, it can get infected.
The Hantavirus is an infection that effects humans in result to contact with infected rodents. Humans can only get infected with the Hantavirus from rodents because Hantavirus does not effect any other animals.
the animals which are infected with it
Lymes disease is contracted in humans in only one way. The western blacklegged tick in British Columbia or the blacklegged tick, sometimes called the deer tick, carry bacteria which is spread to humans, causing Lymes disease. Ticks become infected by feeding on infected animals. http://www.accuconference.com/
It is common in animals. Plants are not infected by the same things that animals are.
Outbreaks of leptospirosis are usually caused by exposure to water contaminated with the urine of infected animals. Many different kinds of animals carry the bacterium; they may become sick but sometimes have no symptoms. Leptospira organisms have been found in cattle, pigs, horses, dogs, rodents, and wild animals. Humans become infected through contact with water, food, or soil containing urine from these infected animals. This may happen by swallowing contaminated food or water or through skin contact, especially with mucosal surfaces, such as the eyes or nose, or with broken skin. The disease is not known to be spread from person to person.
Infected animals often have no symptoms.
