I don't think there are any degrees that don't require essays anymore. One of the "Gordon Rule" core education classes is College Composition, which requires a minimum of 5000 written words, in the form of essays, to be assigned as the instructor sees fit.
Most university majors will require you to write essays regardless, but there are some majors that don't emphasize a lot of writing: Economics Math Engineering Science(except biology and some fields of chemistry)
This is quite possibly the least intelligent way to choose a major that I have ever seen. Science and Engineering majors generally don't have to write many essays for their core classes. Like everyone else, though, they'll have to write essays in their general studies courses.
Don't get a major and there won't be essays.

College application essays are your opportunities to showcase your personalities as well as your abilities aside from the academic setting. Be sure to take time to write, proofread, write, proofread, write, proofread your essays because you never know if the essays are the make-or-break between acceptance and rejection. Lastly, when writing your college essays, you should make sure that your true personalities come through. College admission officers are not born yesterday, and they have been reading essays for a long time. Therefore, they can tell when you are bluffing or when you are not. Just be sure to write it honestly.
MBA applications often require multiple essays. Think of the essays as a group, and respond to each prompt fully while minimizing overlap between essays.
Write em yourself
When you apply for college, you usually need to write an essay to attach with your application. The essay needs to give a representation of your grammar and English skills as well as a basic understanding of why you want to attend the school. Essays need to follow the instructions of the college application.
