The Pennsylvania Colony was located to the south and west of the New York Colony, just the way the states of New York and Pennsylvania are situated today. The major cities in the Pennsylvania Colony were Philadelphia, York, and Lancaster.
New Netherland
Albany and New York cities were once a part of the Dutch colony New Netherland, the capital of which was New Amsterdam. It ran from 1614-1667, although the Dutch reclaimed it from 1673-1674.
