According to a nifty foal color calculator, which you can find the link to in the related links, the foal has the following chances of being each color:

29.17% -

Perlino

29.17% -

Buckskin

16.67% -

Palomino

16.67% -

Cremello

4.17% -

Smoky Cream

4.17% -

Smoky Black

You may want to mess around with the calculator because there are different genetic things that come into play. I did just the basics, because I did not know whether your mare was homozygous for the red factor or not, or if the stallion was a silver carrier. So, experiment with that, and you can get a better picture of what the foal will be.

Since the stallion is buckskin he carries one copy of the cream gene and is therefore heterozygous. He carries one copy of the agouti gene as well. This makes him

AxCrcrEx as we don't know if he carries the a (black) gene at the aqouti site and we don't know if he carries e (chestnut) at the extention site.

If we assume that blue roan means true black the mare is aaRnxEx. We know she is homozygous for the black gene and she has at least one E at the extension site.

This means that the foal could potentially be black, smokey black, bay, buckskin, chestnut or even palomino. 50% of any of these colors could also be a roan horse...if the stallion and the mare are heterozygous in all respects other than the fact that the mare is aa.

If either the stallion or the mare is EE no chestnut or palomino foal will be produced.

If the stallion is Aa a black or smokey black foal could be produced...if he is AA no true black foals can be produced.

50% chance of the foal carrying cream

If the mare is homozygous for roan 100% of the foals will be roan.

Without additional information on the genetics of the stallion and the mare much of the results are conjecture.

Are horses blue?

No, no horse breed is known to have blue hair anywhere on its body. However, there is a horse color known as a Blue Roan in which a black colored horse roans to a bluish color. The hairs themselves are not blue, they are actually black, but when mixed with a large number of white hairs, the human eye sees the color from a distance as blue.

How do you determine if a palomino is a hybrid or a purebred trait?

Palomino is a color and not a breed produced by the introduction of the Creme gene on an otherwise chestnut horse. A palomino is eeCrcr and has to be heterozygous at the creme dilution locus. A homozygous creme horse that is otherwise chestnut at the extension site is eeCrCr which produces the double dilute color of cremello, a horse that is nearly white with blue eyes.

What would you get if you bred a buckskin to a palomino?

A buckskin horse carries three important colour genes: the black gene, the agouti gene (which restricts the colour to the points, creating bay) and one dilution gene (changing bay to buckskin). If both the parents are buckskin, the foal is guaranteed to inherit the agouti gene - so it must be bay, buckskin or perlino, which are the agouti colours. It has a 25% chance of not inheriting the dilution gene from either parent. This would produce a bay foal. There is a 50% chance that the foal will inherit the dilution gene from one parent, but not the other - in this case, the foal will be buckskin. The other 25% chance is that the foal inherits the dilution gene from both parents, producing a double dilute. A double dilute over agouti would result in a perlino foal.
