Alrisha, in the constellation Pisces, is 139 light year from earth.
Alrisha is a binary star (two stars) that are both white dwarfs. It is located at the bottom of Pisces, and is the star that binds the tails of the two Pisces fish together. Since both stars are white dwarfs, the stars are degenerate, meaning they no longer fuse energy, and are in the process of cooling down.
All stars visible with the naked eye are in the same Galaxy. Our galaxy, the Milky Way.

It is a main sequence star, meaning it is currently in the stage where it is fusing hydrogen into helium in its core, emitting energy in the form of light and heat. This stage of a star's life can last for billions of years.
