mine was brown, it was horrible when i had my first period. i was camping.. with my parents and some friends. my mom had left to go shopping, and i didn't know what it was at the time. and it went through my shorts and it was a mess and very icky. then my mom came back and... well, talking about this kind of stuff with My mom... is just akward.. and yah. it wasn't a good day for me. but hopefully your first time.. isn't as bad as mine. Btw- when you get your first period.. USE A PAD! don't try to use a tampon because they are too much of a hassel at first.. i still don't even like to use tampons and I've had my period over 10 years now.
