Begin by removing the retaining ring at the top of your 1990 Pontiac Bonneville ignition switch. The ignition switch will slide out. Remove the wiring harness from the end of the ignition switch. Reverse the process to install your new ignition switch.
probably unsrew the old ignition and disconnect it from the cars battery then replace the new ignition and reconnect it to the car battery. you may or will need to take apart the dash board somehow. or you could just ask a mechanic.

They are dark purple. It goes from the ignition switch to the neutral safety switch to the starter.
