Objects that emit light are usually referred to as incandescent.
Because the filament is extremely hot
Incandescent floor lamps emit a lower ray of light, therefore you won't get as bright a light shine. A flourescnet light is much brighter. It really depends on where you will put the lamp.
Incandescent light bulbs do not emit much Ultraviolet light. Strip lights and compact fluorescent low energy light bulbs do. The whiteners added to white fabrics react to UV light and glow due to fluorescence.
In an incandescent light bulb, the wire is heated until it glows. In a fluorescent light bulb, atoms are excited, which means the electrons are raised to higher enerty levels. When they fall back, they emit light. In an incandescent light bulb, the wire is heated until it glows. In a fluorescent light bulb, atoms are excited, which means the electrons are raised to higher enerty levels. They're hot (above about 800 degrees Kelvin).
Incandescent light bulbs contain a metal filament (normally tungsten). When electricity flows through the filament, it gets very hot, causing it to emit light. They are inefficient because most of the electric power goes into heat. Fluorescent light bulbs contain a circuit that increases the voltage of the electricity, which then ionizes mercury vapor. This ionized mercury emits ultraviolet light, which causes a coating on the inside of the glass bulb to glow ("fluoresce). They are more efficient, but many emit an ugly color of light.
They emit light and the use electricity. Apart from that, they have little in common, the way they work is completely different.
It kinda depends on what kind of bulb incandescent lights use filaments and emit heat, for example
Colder stars emit red light. Hot stars emit large amounts of green light with small amount of red and blue light, which balances out to a white color in human eyes.
Black is the color of objects that do not emit or reflect light in any part of the visible spectrum; they absorb all such frequencies of light.
