Pink or Lavender EDTA Hematology tubes are used. They are used for Complete Blood Counts. If your hemoglobin and hematocrit are low, they'll draw a larger Lavender or Pink top to type and screen or cross match in blood bank. But blood bank orders have special labels and handling due to the nature of danger involved, if the patient received the wrong type blood they could die.
