A FISH BREATHING
If you are familiar enough with the word, you must also know that a lumen is a quantitative measure of light contained in a defined beam or emitted from a source, and depends upon the spectrum of the light.Since virtually every photographic image ever made or that will be made in the genre you refer to ("indoor photography)a) depends on reflected lightb) the spectrum will vary from daylight, tungsten and fluorescent to name a fewc) the reflective surfaces absorb and colorize the lightd) the amount transmitted to the film or ccd depends on aperture and shutter speede) the amount of light required depends on the film speed ratingyour question is purely academic. Even if you wish to use an incident light meter that indicates the lumens falling onto the scene, you will no doubt concentrate on the aperture and shutter speeds indicated as a function of the film speed and not care a whit about how many lumens are present.
1. Testing leaves for starch After photosynthesis, green plants store glucose as starch in their leaves. 2. What you will test. You will test 2 leaves: One from a plant left in the light . One from a plant kept in the dark . 3. Put the 2 leaves in boiling water to kill them 4. Place the leaves in a boiling tube with ethanol 5. wait until all the green colour disappears from the leaves 6. Remove the leaves 7. Wash the leaves 8. Spread the leaves out on a white tile 9. carefully add iodine to the leaves 10. Wait a few minutes and note the colour of the leaves. The leaf exposed to lightd will turn blue-black while the one in the dark will remain colourless.
