There are a limited number of carpet colours, there are more colour selections in drapes and fabric and exponentially more colours of paint.

With that question, you are just going to get opinions. But, it depends what kind of room it is. For instance, ifit's for a teenage boy, or for a kitchen, it's not a very good choice. But a girl's bedroom? I would say it's ok, but I don't know about having such a brink pink against a soft purple. You could either brighten up the lilac, or maybe turn the pink down a notch, but this is all just my opinion.
