Urine color should be the same whether pregnant or not. Normal urine is a light amber color and clear. IF a newspaper article was in the toilet, you should be able to read the words if your urine is light amber.
Darker urine occurs first thing in the morning because it is concentrated from sitting in the bladder. It can also get dark anytime during the day or night if you are not drinking enough fluids.
