Urine color should be the same whether pregnant or not. Normal urine is a light amber color and clear. IF a newspaper article was in the toilet, you should be able to read the words if your urine is light amber.

Darker urine occurs first thing in the morning because it is concentrated from sitting in the bladder. It can also get dark anytime during the day or night if you are not drinking enough fluids.

Turbid or cloudy urine or with white casts in it is often a sign of urinary infection.

Blood should never be in the urine. It is also a sign of UTI or bladder infection.

A fatty sheen that floats on the top of the urine (or coats bowel movements) often means your gallbladder has a problem digesting fats.

And lastly, some foods and medicines can change the color of urine.
